Castle VajdahunyadLocation | Budapest, Hungary | Ambience | Evening location, historic | Capacity | up to 200 persons |

The castle itself - standing on the shore of a nice lake in the heart of Budapest - is a dream of Hungarian architect, Ignác Alpár, built on the occasion of the millenium celebrations in 1896, for the 1000-year anniversary of the hungarian settlement. All architectural styles used in Hungary can be seen in the building through a remake of parts of famous buildings all over the country.
This site is truly a "chameleon" of all event locations: its mediaeval wing is ideal for organising a typical mediaeval event, the garden of the castle is suitable for great garden parties including torches and candle lights, and the baroque wing (today's Agricultural Museum) can host the most elegant dinners with or without music, and a wide choice of programs. Another creatively used building, based on the Abbey Church of Ják in western Transdanubia. The outstanding part of the chapel is the portal around the doorway, an amazingly ornate sculpture of geometric patterns, apostles and lions.
